I have been talking to a number of writers about screenwriting contests they have entered. I'm getting mixed stories of terrible scripts making it into top 10 lists while other scripts that have had some success in other contests don't even crack a "top 100" list.
Do you have a story like that? What is your experience?
I would like to write an article after I do some research and need your "war stories" to help me write it. If you've had great success with contests, great! If you're a reader for a particular contest, great! If you feel you've been jerked around, well, not so great - but e-mail me.
