Whether you're submitting loglines, entering a writing contest or sending your material to a production company, you must follow submission requirements carefully and to the letter.
If the requirements say to send in only loglines, don't disregard the rules and send in a treatment. If the requirement asks you to send in the first ten pages of your screenplay, do not mail in the entire script. Often failure to follow submission rules will disqualify you completely and mark you as unprofessional. Follow the rules when submitting material, don't make up your own.
